Hello.
I don't think its anything I'm doing, but I've jsut bought a Del Studio 1537 laptop and one of the 1st things I did once JAWS, Broadband and Mcafee were installed, was install WindowsLive Messenger and Skype. Now, at the moment, when I make or receive a call on Skype, the moment the call is answered or I take a call, I lose all my sound. JAWS, Internet Explorer, Messenger, Skype, everything mutes, just like that. Is it me or Skype that's causing this problem? I'm totally blind so I can't even see what's happened on the screen relating to why I lose all sound when I make or receive a call. I knew it worked with a Logitech headset, but, having used one at boyfriend Kris's over Christmas and I also happened to have a Logitech headset, but I tried Skype with that just now and I lost all my audio when Kris called me and I answered it.
Mind you, I also have an Ak5370 USB microphone which should also work with Skype plus a second bloody cheap pair of Sony headphones which might just work if I were to try those, but still, I need a fairly quick sollution to this problem really.

Did you uncheck the box under options that says let skype adjust my audio settings?
Yes, I unchecked the box under Audio that says adjust my Skype settings. Mind you, that didn't affect me on my old laptop which is now a totally nackered Toshiba, so I don't get why the new Del's having issues with it.

i've never heard of this problem before, i think this is more than a skype or person behind the keyboard issue if it kills all sound.
Never heard of that either, , i was going to suggest unchecking that setting to let Skype adjust your audio settings, but if you'vealready done that, and no change, not sure what to say.
